In support of Data Privacy Week leaders from across the cybersecurity community have offered their views on the trending threats facing data privacy, and how organisations can best protect themselves.

“Leading players in the banking industry have made notable progress in key areas, such as modernisation of their core and personalisation of services. These are positive steps in the right direction, but the banking and capital markets industry as a whole still has a lot to do to build on these initial successes and continue on its modernisation journey.”

Services providers continue investing in cloud professional services businesses. Cognizant, an IT services company based in Teaneck, N.J., said last week it will acquire the professional services and application management practices of OneSource Virtual, a company that provides services around Workday's SaaS ERP platform.

Cognizant has appointed two new members to its executive committee leadership team. Ravi Kumar will join Cognizant as president of Cognizant Americas. The other appointment is that of Prasad Sankaran who will be joining Cognizant as the new head of the Software and Platform Engineering practice area.
