BusinessWeek Gets Inside Cognizant's Two-in-a-Box

In a recently published two-part, interactive case study, BusinessWeek.com probes the business rationale and service delivery benefits of Cognizant’s unique Two-in-a-Box™ (TIB) client relationship model.

First, Cognizant President & CEO Francisco D’Souza details the thought process behind and operational structure that powers TIB, Cognizant’s homegrown methodology for easing complexity and harnessing the virtue of global services delivery. TIB, D’Souza tells BusinessWeek.com, has enabled Cognizant to create truly global teams. "It's allowed us to extend the business model for the changing business environment," he declares.

Then, Niko Canner, co-founder and managing partner of strategy and organizational performance consulting firm Katzenbach Partners, offers perspective on why TIB is so effective. "[Cognizant’s strategy] illustrates many broader questions about how to design an organization to be global and to succeed globally," he observes.
