Abbott Honors Cognizant With Supplier Excellence Award

Cognizant was among 24 companies recently recognized by Abbott for “supplier excellence” during calendar year 2007.

Winners of Abbott’s Supplier Excellence Award were selected among the global healthcare, pharmaceuticals and medicals company’s 15,000-plus worldwide suppliers. Suppliers were honored for their outstanding performance and continuous improvement in supplying materials, equipment and services.

Abbott uses a quantitative/qualitative assessment process that combines performance data along with feedback from internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, material control, quality, engineering, administrative services and select others. Cognizant was one of only two IT services providers recognized for supplier excellence during 2007.
