'A Metaphor for his Company': Frank D'Souza Profiled for Forbes India's People of the Year

Citing his leadership in steering Cognizant through the worst downturn in recent memory – and coming out stronger than ever – Forbes India profiled Cognizant President and CEO Francisco D’Souza among 21 outstanding individuals nominated for the "Person of the Year." In the race for the honor were 21 eminent individuals who have shown “leadership, courage and enterprise.” By consistently sticking with the company’s time-tested strategy of investing in client relationships, Frank helped Cognizant “shine though the fog” and outperform its rivals throughout 2009. “The role of D’Souza in managing the crisis cannot be underestimated,” Forbes India stated.
