Cognizant Eyes Structural Shifts, Mega Trends

R Chandrasekaran, President and Managing Director of Cognizant, outlined mega trends in the IT industry – and the industries it serves. Speaking at an event organized by India's software lobby Nasscom, Chandra said IT companies need to tweak service delivery models and gear up to tap new markets. Apart from the IT industry, other sectors are also on the cusp of change, such as healthcare and life sciences, where consolidation could surface fresh opportunities for innovation. "Right now, we are looking at the cyclical shifts in the industry, but there is also a structural shift happening,” he said.
