CRM Magazine: Cognizant Named a CRM Market Winner in the Consultancies Category

In its very first showing on CRM Magazine’s Market Leaders list, Cognizant is named a Market Winner in the Consultancies category. CRM magazine is a leading publication of the customer relationship management industry, covering sales, marketing, customer service, and strategy.

The Market Leader Awards rate the top five vendors in 10 categories based on a composite score that includes revenue, revenue growth, market share, customer wins, reputation for customer satisfaction, depth of product functionality, and company direction. In each of 10 categories, the magazine names one Market Winner, denoting the highest score compared to its peers, followed by four Market Leaders.

While Cognizant is named a Winner in the Consultancies category this year, Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, and IBM are named Leaders. In its review of the 2012 CRM Market Leaders, the magazine writes, “Cognizant, a newcomer to the leaderboard, shared the top mark in ability to execute, with a 3.9, but where it really impressed analysts was its company direction (4.3) and cost (4.0).”

“What they [Cognizant] do, they do very well,” says Jim Dickie, managing partner at CSO Insights, and a member of the team that evaluated this year's CRM Market Awards. Another jury member Leslie Ament, senior analyst and vice president of Hypatia Research Group, adds, “Cognizant's rapid growth in the B2C sector after carving out impressive wins in the manufacturing sector and supply chain operations make this consultancy one to watch in the customer management service line.”
