When asked if some IT firms were eating into shares of their peers, Malcolm Frank says, “We are very far away from zero sum game. All the major Indian IT firms and us would account for something like 5% of the overall software services market. There is tremendous headroom, both geographically and segment-wise, for Indian firms. BPO and IT infrastructure are just two examples of such verticals.” Commenting on Cognizant’s Q1-2012 performance, the publication writes, “In terms of both revenue and profit, Cognizant has performed better than its peers in this quarter.”
