The Economic Times: Cognizant Among Companies that have Leveraged the IT-BPO Combined Model the Best

The company that has perhaps leveraged combined IT-BPO opportunities the best is Cognizant, writes The Economic Times, India’s top selling business daily. “It (Cognizant) has steered clear of low-margin, commodity business processes,” writes the paper. “We see a very healthy synergy between IT and BPO,” says R. Chandrasekaran, Group Chief Executive for Technology and Operations at Cognizant. “Our BPO [practice] is growing faster than the company average as we do not do any commodity work. BPO lets us cross-sell and gives longevity with customers,” he says.
