T major Cognizant has reported about 56.3 per cent rise in September quarter net income at USD 544 million, and said it expects to make offers to 45,000 new graduates in India in the fourth quarter for onboarding in 2022.

Cognizant's headcount stood at about 318,400 people at the end of the September 2021 quarter, up from about 301,200 employees at the end of June 2021 quarter.

“In India, we have hired more than 30,000 people this year and given offers to 45,000 others, who will be on-boarded in FY22,” says Rajesh Nambiar, CMD, Cognizant India.

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. reported an 11% year-on-year rise in revenue in constant currency to $4.7 billion for the third quarter ended September as business momentum, especially in digital services, continued to improve.
