Børsen: Cognizant Honored by Børsen with the Gazelle Award

Cognizant has been honored by leading Danish daily Børsen with its prestigious Gazelle award, which recognizes companies that have had continuous growth in turnover or gross profit within the last four years, and have more than doubled their turnover or gross profit in the period. Out of the 1,000 nominations determined on the basis of publicly available financial performance data, Cognizant made it to the top three. Started in 1995, the Gazelle is among Denmark’s most prestigious, nationally recognized accolades.

“There are two fundamental strategies,” Jayajyoti Sengupta, Assistant Vice-President and Head of Cognizant’s Nordic operations, tells the daily. “One is based on high growth, the other on high returns. We aim at following the high growth strategy. Companies are focused not only on reducing costs, but also on improving efficiency across the business and remaining innovative. At Cognizant, I believe we have the right foundation to help businesses with this. Maintaining operating margins at 19-20 percent has helped us create industry-leading growth.”
