“(Security) is very integral to the whole world of digital, says Jayajyoti Sengupta. As we get into the world of AI with deep machine-learning and a lot more access to the information across the internet and global systems, there is a lot of digital footprint that…companies and their customers are leaving behind." Excerpts:
“Therefore, security becomes very important and is very integral, whether it is cybersecurity, access control, advanced forms of cyber security that is becoming more relevant with the complexity of digital, and with more digital becoming more mainstream. We cannot live without it and digital and security go very hand-in-hand.
Speaking about global privacy regulations and their impact on businesses, he said, 'Some of the security is coming from all the privacy acts and various regulatory changes across countries and we are building up technologies to abide by them. At the same time, as a systems integrator and a services company, we also work with many products, software platforms and solutions, which also come unbundled with security…often what we do is take them in, and enhance their security to meet our customers’ needs.
…the rest of it is primarily regulatory changes, the global risk compliance with GDPR being one great example. And there are many such Privacy and Data Protection Acts which are also getting bundled into the solutions we are building. So these are no longer just technology solutions, but rather business, and risk and compliance enabled by technology as a solution.”
