Cognizant has been appraised by KPMG at Maturity Level 5 on the CMMI® (Capability Maturity Model® Integration) V2.0 for development, system integration and application, and infrastructure services.
Appraisals are conducted every three years and Maturity Level 5, the highest possible rating, reflects an organization’s ability to continuously enhance its processes through incremental and innovative improvements designed to deliver superior outcomes for clients.
Cognizant’s Maturity Level 5 rating, the 8th the company has received over the last two decades, demonstrates a distinct competitive advantage based on the ability to:
- Manage projects by implementing methods benchmarked against industry best practices
- Adopt quantitative management techniques to optimize performance and improvement
- Institutionalize continuous performance improvement and focus on consistently delivering the highest quality products and services
“Hybrid work models have become increasingly prevalent, while the pace of digital transformation and enterprise automation continue to accelerate,” said Andy Stafford, Executive Vice President, Head of Global Delivery at Cognizant and the executive sponsor for the re-appraisal. “We have focused on implementing robust delivery and governance processes across the globe to remain at the forefront of delivering against our clients’ evolving needs. I am delighted at our achievement of CMMI reappraisal at Maturity Level 5 and proud of our delivery teams across the world who continue to demonstrate the highest standards for our clients in this dynamic environment.”
The appraisal process covered the work of 41,000+ employees across India and 23 locations in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the United States, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Hungary, and the UK.
