December 4, 2023 - Cognizant has been recognized as a leader in the Tech-enabled Sustainability Services RadarView^TM 2023-2024 report conducted by leading management consulting and analyst firm Avasant. 

Avasant singled out Cognizant’s practice maturity, partner ecosystem and investments and innovation as key drivers in establishing its leadership position. In addition, the analyst firm highlighted that Cognizant is also working on generative AI-powered solutions for automating ESG disclosure and statutory documentation. 

Cognizant was specially acknowledged for partnerships with the three major hyper scalers: AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud Platform. Avasant also noted Cognizant’s co-development of solutions with other technology vendors; for instance, the company worked with Snowflake to develop a sustainability calculation engine and reporting solution to help enterprises comply with regulatory requirements. The analyst firm also highlighted Cognizant’s key partnerships with Diligent, Enablon, Intelex, Metabolic, SimaPro, Sphera, Workiva, AWS, Google Cloud, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce and Snowflake. 

In evaluating Cognizant’s practice maturity, Avasant emphasized Cognizant’s proficiency in supporting clients across the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG), healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, and energy and utilities sectors on their sustainability endeavours. The analyst firm also hailed Cognizant for helping enterprises report their ESG data according to industry standards, such as GRI, TCFD, GHG protocol, and SASB. 

Finally, on the investments and innovation front, Avasant acknowledged Cognizant’s aim to spend 40% of its planned investments in tech-enabled sustainability services to hire for new roles and upskill existing resources, providing the company with the capabilities to continuously develop innovative solutions for clients.
