Cognizant Completes Acquisition of Astreya, Expanding AI Infrastructure and Managed Services Capabilities

Cognizant has completed its acquisition of Astreya, a global IT managed services provider headquartered in San Jose, California, effective June 22, 2026.

The combination strengthens Cognizant's AI infrastructure and managed services capabilities by bringing together Cognizant's global delivery model and AI builder approach with Astreya's deep expertise supporting complex technology environments for many of the world's largest technology companies, including six of the "Magnificent Seven" hyperscalers.

Founded in 2001, Astreya operates in more than 35 countries with approximately 2,600 professionals and provides services spanning data center infrastructure, enterprise networks, digital workplace services, and AI-first managed operations. The acquisition further enhances Cognizant's ability to help clients design, build, operate, and optimize the intelligent infrastructure required to support enterprise AI adoption at scale.

“By combining Astreya’s capabilities with Cognizant’s global scale and AI platform, we are better positioned to help clients operationalize AI systems and infrastructure,” said Ravi Kumar S., Chief Executive Officer, Cognizant.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter for Astreya," said Romil Bahl, President and Chief  Executive Officer, Astreya. "This transaction brings together shared values, complementary expertise, and a common vision for the future of AI-first IT managed services. Astreya has built differentiated capabilities across infrastructure, automation, and enterprise AI, and joining Cognizant gives us the scale to amplify that impact globally, while creating new opportunities for our employees and partners."

The acquisition expands Cognizant's position across the AI infrastructure value chain and enhances its ability to help enterprises turn AI investments into business outcomes through scalable operations, managed services, and intelligent infrastructure.
