Devbridge Opens New Studio in Vilnius, Lithuania

Devbridge has opened its new studio on Žalgiris Street in the historic Skansenas district of Vilnius, Lithuania. The office will serve as home to more than 230 software engineers, business leaders and IT specialists, with plans for continued expansion.

Devbridge was acquired in late 2021 by Cognizant, and currently operates within Cognizant Softvision, the organization’s integrated digital engineering practice.

The new location launched as part of the Cognizant Softvision “studio” model, providing coworking spaces for skill-based teams. The studio includes a rooftop terrace with a jogging track, sports and event spaces, and panoramic views of historic Skansenas. A large gym, amphitheater, coffee shop, and recreation areas are also onsite.

Devbridge culture emphasizes product quality and strong engineering expertise, which has enabled the brand and its team to grow to include software development studios in Chicago, London, Toronto, Warsaw, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipeda.

“Now more than ever, clients look to Cognizant to tailor sophisticated customer experiences, bring new products to market, and transform business models. Our expansion in western Europe reflects the marketplace demands for custom software engineering, recognition of our brand, and the value clients associate with our processes, platforms, and speed to market,” said Cognizant Softvision CEO Andres Angelani.

“The increasing complexity of evolving customer needs and business challenges encourages us to constantly improve the depth of our capabilities,” added Viktoras Gurgždys, vice president for Devbridge in Lithuania. “As we open our new studio, we have the opportunity to not only leverage it as a home base to build the strongest digital engineering team in the region, but also to have it serve as a launching pad to expand the diversity of our technological competencies in service of our clients’ strategic business goals,” Gurgždys said.

Expansion is Well Received by Lithuanian Leaders
The news of expansion in the region was well received by Lithuanian government officials and business leaders.

“I would like to congratulate the entire Devbridge team on their new home in Vilnius,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of Economy and Innovation, Lithuania. “From a campaign created by five friends to a technology industry leader, and proof that we can make unthinkable things possible.”

Elijus Čivilis, CEO of Invest in Lithuania, noted that Devbridge's success story once again testifies to the flourishing technology talent in Lithuania.

“We are delighted that Devbridge's professional community continues to thrive on a global stage. This move helps promote Lithuania as a reliable partner to the world's largest companies in the manufacturing, finance and services sectors,” Čivilis said.
