Cognizant recently opened a new state-of-the-art regional delivery center (RDC) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Near the US border, Monterrey has several colleges and universities that are focused on technology. Combined with the many IT professionals living in the region, the city has the potential to be an important IT hub.
Located on the 20th floor of the KOI Tower, Cognizant’s new RDC combines views of the city with open and collaborative areas. There are more than 210 seats distributed among six independent delivery centers and space for Cognizant’s Idea Couture, a digital innovation, strategy and design firm.
“We are pleased to finally open our new office in Monterrey,” said Marco Antonio Villarin, Director, Mexico and Central America Country Head, Cognizant. “Although the office has been ready for more than a year, we’ve had to overcome the many challenges brought on by the COVID pandemic. This new office confirms Cognizant’s interest to develop Mexico as a solid node of the global delivery network.”
“The Americas Delivery Organization is focused on maximizing value-creation for our clients by delivering high quality work in a collaborative, localized and agile delivery network across the region,” said Jeff Boyle, Leader of Americas Delivery, Cognizant. “LATAM is strategically important to us in terms of talent and time zone. Each new office is one more step towards better positioning ourselves and having a more consistent approach to handle larger global accounts.”
