Microsoft recently named Cognizant as a finalist for two of Microsoft’s Partner of the Year Awards, including the Global SI Partner of the Year and the Power BI Partner of the Year. Awards were classified in several categories, with honorees chosen from more than 4,400 submitted nominations and more than 100 countries worldwide.
A testament to our recently formed Microsoft Business Group (MBG), this is the first year Cognizant has been named as a finalist for Microsoft’s Global SI Partner of the Year Award. Through many client engagements, we have demonstrated our ability to deliver constant innovation and business value to our clients globally by leveraging the capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud.
- For one healthcare company, our team built an app in just 16 days that helps track and share COVID-19 symptoms with their medical providers.
- At an insurance company, our team migrated the legacy S/4HANA system to the cloud using Microsoft Azure, boosting efficiency and improving the availability of core SAP applications. This minimized operating costs and optimized capital investment.
- At a charity organization in the UK, the MBG was able to prescribe a solution based on Microsoft 365 and centered around Microsoft Teams to facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across their research community.
Cognizant was also recognized as a finalist for Microsoft’s Power BI Partner of the Year Award as a result of our work with a major wireless company in the US. The Cognizant team helped mobilize and accelerate the client’s digital transformation journey, consolidating more than 60,000 legacy reports by 97% in just six months’ time.
“We are pleased to be named as a finalist for these two prestigious awards,” said Jim Olson, Global Head of Cognizant Microsoft Business Group. “The recognition is a testament to our ongoing relationship with Microsoft and the work our newly formed Microsoft Business Group is doing—helping clients modernize their business with focus, simplicity and scale. We look forward to our continued success working with Microsoft.”
“I am honored to announce the winners and finalists of the 2021 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards,” said Rodney Clark, Corporate Vice President, Global Partner Solutions, Channel Sales and Channel Chief, Microsoft. “These remarkable partners have displayed a deep commitment to building world-class solutions for customers—from cloud-to-edge—and represent some of the best and brightest our ecosystem has to offer.”
Collectively, Cognizant and the MBG have been awarded Partner of the Year in 25 different disciplines since 2003, including numerous category finalist awards, and have achieved all 18 Gold Partner Competencies and earned 11 Advanced Specializations.
