As availability of the COVID-19 vaccine becomes more widespread, Cognizant will provide support to remove financial barriers for our associates should they choose to be vaccinated.

In India, Cognizant will cover the vaccination cost of its associates, support staff and their dependents. This will enable 600,000 India-based people to get vaccinated, including 200,000 full-time associates and their dependents, as well as approximately 50,000 contingent staff, comprising contract, support and security personnel, and their families.

In the US, associates and dependents enrolled in Cognizant’s medical plan will have the costs of the vaccine covered under the terms of the health plan as required.

In other countries where Cognizant operates, most governments plan to cover the cost of the vaccine. The company will continue to monitor any changes and adjust plans if necessary to ensure the vaccine is financially accessible to all associates.

As the pandemic continues to evolve, Cognizant remains focused on keeping its people, workplaces and surrounding communities safe and healthy. Financial coverage of the vaccination adds to other COVID-19 relief efforts, including flexible work arrangements and expanded leave policies for associates, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
