Cognizant recently participated in the Catalyst Conference and Awards Dinner in New York City. A global non-profit organization, “Catalyst works with some of the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to help build workplaces that work for women.”

For more than 30 years, the Catalyst Award has celebrated exceptional efforts that help advance women in business. The annual event recognizes innovative corporate initiatives that address the recruitment, development, and advancement of all women, including diverse women.

At the conference, Michael Pino, PhD, Global Director, Strategy & Innovation, Cognizant Academy, participated in a panel discussion that examined how technology, no matter how advanced, still requires a human touch. The group discussed the importance of people in the machine age and how successful leaders of the future will have the interpersonal skills necessary to manage and integrate rapid technological advances while simultaneously building inclusive teams.

“We are honored to once again participate in Catalyst’s event,” said James Lennox, Chief People Officer, Cognizant. “We embrace Catalyst’s assertion that ‘progress for women is progress for everyone,’ which is why we too foster the development of our female associates through internal programs like Women Empowered and through our involvement in programs such as Catalyst.”
