The Economic Times: Cognizant’s Vice President of Consulting Says the Shift Toward Digital is Creating Significant Opportunities for B-School Graduates

“Cognizant, which topped ET’s Top Recruiters at B-School study for over three years now, said it stepped up hiring this year, including from the new IIMs,” writes The Economic Times in a report on how consulting firms such as Cognizant are visiting more Indian Institutes of Management to lap up fresh MBA graduates.

Sandy Gopalan sees increasing digital focus of clients as one of the reasons for this.

“We are in the midst of a once-in-a-decade shift in the technology landscape,” he says. “While continuing to drive down costs in core operations, clients are also shifting towards digital in order to remain competitive.”

“This trend is creating significant opportunities for B-school graduates,” he adds. “More than ever, consulting is the first port of call for clients looking to leverage next-generation technologies to optimize their businesses and drive innovation.”
