FORTUNE: Cognizant Ranks No. 205 in FORTUNE 500 2017, Jumps 25 Places

Cognizant is ranked No. 205 in FORTUNE 500 2017, up 25 places from No. 230 in 2016.

The FORTUNE 500 is FORTUNE magazine’s annual ranking of the largest corporations in the United States. Cognizant’s current ranking is based on the company’s fiscal year 2016 revenue of $13.49 billion, which rose 8.6 percent from fiscal year 2015 revenue.

Over the past year, Cognizant has focused on expanding its digital capabilities to transform clients’ business operating and technology models for the digital era. Revenue associated with digital-oriented activities accounted for 23 percent of Cognizant’s total revenue in 2016.

Cognizant has consistently advanced its ranking year-over-year since debuting on the FORTUNE 500 in 2011 at No. 484.
