Cognizant, an IT services company based in Teaneck, N.J., said last week it will acquire the professional services and application management practices of OneSource Virtual, a company that provides services around Workday's SaaS ERP platform.

Cognizant has appointed two new members to its executive committee leadership team. Ravi Kumar will join Cognizant as president of Cognizant Americas. The other appointment is that of Prasad Sankaran who will be joining Cognizant as the new head of the Software and Platform Engineering practice area.
