Computable, Netherlands: Cognizant’s Director, Center for the Future of Work Says AI will Enhance Human Ability in Every Field

“AI has endless possibilities to make products and industries more personalised, faster, more secure, and smarter,” says Ben Pring. “With the right preparation, training, and planning we can ensure we are future-proofed to take advantage of the numerous benefits associated with it.” Excerpts:

“AI will enhance human ability in every field, not simply replace it. Everything from roads to bridges to medical machinery will be instrumented, enabling faster data-driven decision-making freeing people to deal with the most urgent things first. Systems of intelligence, combining hardware, AI software, data alongside human input to create value, will help improve countless customer experiences, business processes, products and organisations.

To compete and grow, companies must build deeper, richer relationships with people, partners and customers. To do this requires data and analytics, optimised with machine learning and advanced AI, combined with deep human insight, domain, data management and operational expertise.

It is imperative that our younger generation gains skills in these areas, traditionally seen as ‘softer skills’. By partnering with the new machine instead of working against it, businesses can imagine and bring to life entirely new products, new services, and new industries for the digital economy.”
