Cognizant’s HR Head, Global Growth Markets, wins EMEA CHRO of the Year Award

Cognizant’s Pradeep Bhaskaran has received the 2018 Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of the Year EMEA award from HRO Today Global Magazine. Nominated by members of his team, he was recognized under the For Profit, category.

Recognizing CHROs that help drive workforce initiatives through innovation, the award celebrates those who provide leadership to ensure talent retention, business growth, and an inclusive culture that can unify a global workforce.

Bhaskaran took over as HR Head of Continental Europe in 2007. As business in the region has grown, he has gone from managing HR in 10 countries in Continental Europe to a current list of 50 countries in Europe, the Middle East, APAC and Latin America.

Under Bhaskaran’s leadership in EMEA, Cognizant has established a number of innovative programs, including health and well-being, employee assistance, and diversity and inclusion. With a passion for empowering local HR business partners to consult on employee matters, Bhaskaran has driven a strong shared services initiative that produces tangible results for his organization and its members.

“We need to create a more engaging employee experience with use of technology to facilitate the journey,” says Bhaskaran. “The biggest challenge that organizations face whilst driving the digital change agenda is to manage the expectations of their people.”
