Cognizant Named an Oracle Cloud Managed Service Provider Partner
Oracle has named Cognizant an Oracle Cloud Managed Service Provider (MSP) Partner as part of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), the company’s partner program that provides partners with a differentiated advantage to develop, sell and implement Oracle solutions.
The announcement was made at Oracle OpenWorld — a business and technology conference dedicated to helping businesses leverage Cloud for their innovation and growth — held September 18–22, 2016, in San Francisco, California.
Oracle Cloud is an integrated public cloud that offers best-in-class services across software-as-a-service (SaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), and helps organizations drive innovation and business transformation by increasing business agility, lowering costs, and reducing IT complexity.

Demonstrating the strong market demand for Cloud MSP support, a recent report from 451 Research found that Managed Services at Cloud Service Providers are expected to grow from $17B in 2014 to $43B in 2018.
The Oracle Cloud MSP Program pairs partner services with Oracle’s leading cloud platform to drive datacenter transformation for customers in the cloud. Available to partners with the skills and infrastructure to build, deploy, run and manage both Oracle and non-Oracle workloads, the program enables OPN members to offer a complete managed service solution for workloads running on Oracle Platform-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
To participate in the program, partners must meet a specific set of criteria, which include the conditions of an Oracle Cloud MSP Partner Validation Checklist audited by a third party, as well demonstrate a minimum level of competency in Oracle IaaS and PaaS products.
The partner will be able to buy Oracle Cloud Platform based on the unique needs of the customer, package their MSP services, and sell the integrated solution through a streamlined business model. Partners reap the benefits of building their services on a world-class Cloud infrastructure and customers get the complete solution they need to optimize their Cloud initiatives—helping reduce risk, cost and complexity. Sample services provided by Oracle Cloud MSP partners can include cloud advisory, service migration, DevOps, provisioning and orchestration, monitoring, incidence and change management, and Cloud optimization, among many others. Oracle Cloud MSP partners will receive sales and go-to-market support.
