Making the Future: Cognizant Supports Georgetown School STEM Program
“Earlier this year, Hanover County educators conducted a four-week STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program at The Georgetown School. The initiative was made possible through a grant from Cognizant,” writes the Mechanicsville Local.
“Cognizant’s Making the Future after-school and summer program seeks to inspire young learners to pursue science, technology, engineering and math disciplines by creating fun, hands-on learning opportunities,” the report says.
“As a culminating activity,” it adds, “Cognizant invited four of the Hanover County program participants/students to the Maker Faire at the New York Hall of Science. The students were chosen based on their initiative, creativity, compassion and ability.”
