Forbes: Cognizant Named Among America’s Best Management Consulting Firms

Cognizant was named by Forbes among America’s Best Management Consulting Firms of 2016 in 12 categories representing a broad range of industry sectors and functional areas.

The company received a “disproportionately high number of client recommendations” in Digital Transformation, Energy and Environment, Finance and Risk Management, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Media and Entertainment, IT, Technology and Telecommunications, Marketing, Brand and Pricing, Other Industrial Goods and Services, and Strategy. In the IT Implementation and IT Strategy categories, Cognizant received a “disproportionately high number of colleague recommendations.”

To be considered for this inaugural list, companies had to fall into one of the following categories: “classic” management consultancy firms, IT consultancies, advisory branches of auditing firms, and consulting branches of agencies. Firms were sourced for consideration through lists of associations, consulting directories, competitions, and company databases, as well as through the PR and marketing departments of 50 large management consulting firms.

Results are based on two online surveys. The first asked 7,286 partners and project managers from management consultancies to make recommendations of consultancies (excluding their own) across 15 industries and 16 functional areas.

The second survey asked 1,316 management consultancy clients to recommend consultancies on a list falling within industries and functional areas in which they had worked with a consultancy in the last four years.
