CIO 100 Awards: Cognizant Named to CIO 100

Cognizant is among the CIO 100 honorees for the year 2012. The annual awards program, celebrating its 25th year, recognizes 100 organizations that have distinguished themselves by creating business value through the innovative use of IT.

Cognizant wins the recognition for its One Cognizant Platform, which enables employees to work more virtually and collaboratively and share knowledge, insights and experiences across the company’s global enterprise. “This platform gives users highly responsive apps developed specifically to achieve 500 percent or more productivity gains while requiring minimal email alerts, training and change management,” the magazine notes. “It also enables an easy-to-use on-ramp for users to get tasks done through a single URL, thereby eliminating the need to bookmark multiple URLs for various applications. It also standardizes the method of user experience and user interface, which improves user productivity through intuitive use of UI and usability. For Cognizant’s IT workers, it enables extreme agility, with some apps being moved to production in as little as one weeks time and some complex apps rolling out in less than 10 weeks.”
