Reuters TV: Cognizant CEO Says Talent Has No Zip Code

“This is a time of tremendous disruption, a time of tremendous opportunity and tremendous promise,” says Francisco D’Souza. Reuters Video recently sat down with D’Souza for a feature segment about Cognizant that highlights the Company’s training initiatives, the transformative power of technology, Cognizant’s success, and D’Souza’s leadership style.  Excerpts:

“‘There’s not one thing accelerating disruption, its multiple things. Change is constant and we must sense and respond to change or risk being left behind. That’s the lesson of the past decade, adapt or die in IT.’

Throughout the segment, D’Souza addresses the IT skills shortage in the U.S. taking host Andrew Wilson on a tour of the Company’s Bronx, NY training facility which was built to directly address the local talent gap the industry faces. ‘Today, unemployment in technology in the U.S. is at an all-time low, in fact, there’s a shortage of talent.  Our commitment to training has always been there and it is part of our responsibility to continue to drive and grow the talent pool. This is the most exciting time to be in technology; I have not been as optimistic and excited as I am today.’”
