Cognizant CEO Named a Fortune Businessperson of the Year
Francisco D’Souza, CEO, Cognizant, has been named a Fortune Businessperson of the Year for 2017.
Ranked at #10, Fortune notes D’Souza’s cofounding of Cognizant, its average 15.1% annual sales growth over the past 3 years, and the company’s transformation as notable achievements. Specifically, Fortune highlights D’Souza’s mission to ‘prioritize services that help clients adapt and keep pace with the digital revolution’ which accounts for the stock’s ‘blistering’ 49% return over the past 12 months.
Fortune’s Businessperson of the Year listing focuses on those leaders who are delivering ‘the goods’ for their organizations. Editors start by evaluating each company’s results, ranking companies by 12- and 36-month increases in profits, revenues, and stock performance, and factors in return on capital.
